Organic Maitake Mushroom Growing Kit

Maitake mushrooms (Grifola frondosa)—also known as “Hen of the Woods”—are succulent and delicious. They are also one of the most popular and widely recognized medicinal mushrooms. A 55–70° F environment is needed for this kit. Simply unwrap and water once or twice a day. Clusters of Maitake will spring forth in 2–3 weeks. Once your first flush has been harvested, the Maitake Mushroom grow kit must be transferred to an outdoor bed for subsequent fruitings, which can occur in 6–12 months.

Each Maitake Mushroom Growing Kit consists of pure mushroom mycelium growing on a sterilized medium, or substrate. The substrate used will vary, depending on the mushroom being grown.
