Certified Organic Millet Seeds - Choose Whole or Pearled

Millet has about the same protein content as wheat (11%) and is high in vitamins and minerals, especially B Vitamins. We have both whole millet for sprouting and pearled millet for cooking. Millet is usually the main ingredient in most birdseed mixes as it is a softer small seed that can be eaten by all birds, whole or hulled. Millet is a grain that is excellent to grind for flour, bird seed, porridge and beer making.

    Whole Millet

    • Raw - Certified Organic
    • Resealable Packaging
    • Microbial Tested
    • Perfect As Birdseed & Animal Feed
    • Beer Making
    • Excellent for Sprouting
    • High Germination Rate

Whole Millet has still has its thin hull intact and has a high germination rate and is excellent for sprouting, birdseed, animal feed and making millet beer. Whole millet is not a good candidate for grinding for flour, as the hull needs to be removed to make the best flour. Choose Hulled Millet if you have that need.

    Hulled / Pearled Millet

    • Raw – Certified Organic
    • Perfect for Toasting / Roasting / Snacks
    • Grinding for Millet Flour
    • Cereal / Porridge / Pilaf
    • For Making Millet Beer
    • Low Germination Rate

Hulled (pearled) millet has the thin hull removed, and as such will have a low germination rate. Hulled millet is ideal for grinding into flour, making millet beer, toasting, using for porridge and other food uses. Hulled millet is not a good candidate for sprouting. Choose Whole Millet if you are looking to sprout.
