Red Quinoa is a sprouting seed almost exactly the same as
, with just a few minor differences. Many find that the red variety of quinoa provides a strong and bitter taste vs white, when eaten raw. Also when cooked, red may seem to be slightly crunchier and even harder to chew than white.
Whether Red or White is your favorite, they both have almost the exact same nutritional value, and both offer all nine essential amino acids. Both kinds of quinoa are high in fiber content, making an excellent source for needed dietary intake.

Quinoa seeds will sprout faster than any other kind of sprouting seed, needing only to be soaked for about half an hour, and then will begin to sprout within a couple hours. For the best taste and texture, only sprout for about a day and half before eating. A longer growth period will make the sprouts much softer.
Note: Don't soak Red Quinoa very long if sprouting. We recommend only soaking for around an hour. Oversoaking quinoa seeds will make them sprout very poorly, if at all.
