We conducted a survey of hundreds of juicer owners to compile the best set of ratings on the individual capabilities of all juicers. Below you will find the results for Tribest's line of juicers. We hope the survey results help you find the right juicer for you.
Tribest makes 3 different lines of juicers, each of which do wheatgrass well. Let's start with the manual juicer, the Z-Star. It is a solid hand-crank juicer which is basically the same front end as their SoloStar II juicer but with a hand crank. A SoloStar II juicer and a Z-Star Conversion Kit make for one juicer for both home and travel, which is convenient.
The SoloStar II is a versatile, slow RPM single auger juicer that competes directly against Omega's 8000 Series, and Samson's 6-in-1 Juicer. It does wheatgrass well, but struggles with soft fruits. It also does pasta, nut butters, sorbets and can be used as a grinder / mill. It comes in a little cheaper than either the Omegas or Samsons.
The GreenStar line by Tribest are slow RPM twin-auger juicers. Generally speaking, twin auger juicers are heavier duty and more efficient, squeezing more juice out than single auger models. Tribest's Green Star line is also very versatile doing jobs like pasta, nut butters, mincing, homogenizing, making baby food, bread stick extrusion etc... As you move up the line of GreenStar juicers, they get more durable and produce higher juice yeilds.
The Rating Scale:
In the survey, aspects of each juicer were rated on a scale of 1 to 5:
- 1 = Very Poor
- 2 = Poor
- 3 = Met My Expectations
- 4 = Exceeded My Expectations
- 5 = Wow!
